Frequently Asked Questions

What is a mobile osteopath?
A mobile osteopath provides professional osteopathic treatment in the comfort of your own home. All necessary equipment, including a portable treatment table, is brought to you.

Do I need a referral to see an osteopath?
No referral is required. You can book an appointment directly without seeing your GP first.

Who is mobile osteopathy suitable for?
Mobile osteopathy is ideal for older adults, people with limited mobility, post-surgery patients, and anyone who finds it difficult to attend a clinic.

What happens during an osteopathy session?
Each session includes a thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, and personalised advice or exercises tailored to your needs and ability.

What do I need to prepare for a home visit?
Please provide a quiet space with enough room for a portable treatment table. Wearing loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.

Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. I bring all required equipment, including the treatment table and any treatment tools needed for your session.

Do you accept Support at Home clients?
Yes. Osteopathy services may be available under the Support at Home program, depending on your funding and provider.

Appointments are usually arranged through your care coordinator or service provider. Once approval is confirmed and required paperwork is received, our admin team will contact you to organise a booking. Invoices are generally sent directly to the provider.

Do you offer private health insurance rebates?
Yes. Most private health insurance policies with extras cover osteopathy services. Please check with your health fund for details.

Please note that we do not offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming. An invoice will be emailed after your appointment so you can submit it directly to your health fund.

How do I make a booking?
You can book directly via our website or contact us by phone or email. For Support at Home clients, bookings are typically coordinated through your care provider.
